Saint Catherine's Monastery houses unique collections of manuscripts and documents, books and icons, ecclesiastical embroidery, and liturgical items. In the monastery church, you can admire a wonderful Byzantine mosaic. You can also see the Burning Bush, the Chapel of the Transfiguration, and the Well of Moses. There is an opportunity to attend a service where you can venerate the relics of Saint Catherine and receive a blessed ring.
5:30 AM: hotel check-out. The journey from Sharm El Sheikh to St. Catherine's Monastery takes 2.5 hours. At the monastery, you will attend a church service and view ancient icons and frescoes. You will see Moses' Well, the famous Burning Bush, the Basilica of the Transfiguration, and the old refectory, and visit chapels, a crypt, and an ancient cemetery. Afterward, you will head to Dahab, have lunch, and visit the market. You will return to Sharm El Sheikh at 4:00 PM.
