5:00 AM - Check out from the hotel. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Luxor (flight time 50 minutes). 9:00 AM - Arrival in Luxor and meeting at the airport. The first part of the program «City of the Living» begins, which is located on the east bank of the Nile. Visit to Karnak Temple, which is the largest architectural structure of the ancient world and one of the largest temple complexes in the world. Karnak Temple was not built by one pharaoh, nor even by one dynasty; about 30 pharaohs contributed to the creation of the complex, adding temples, pylons, chapels, and obelisks dedicated to the gods of Thebes. Karnak Temple consists of three large structures and several smaller temples within the main area. Lunch at a restaurant with a buffet (drinks not included).
Then you’ll take a boat ride down the Nile to the West Bank and the City of the Dead, where the second part of the program will take place. You’ll visit the West Bank and the Valley of the Dead. First, you’ll be greeted by the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues 18 meters tall and weighing over 700 metric tons each. You’ll drive through the Valley of the Kings and visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The main architectural feature of this monumental structure is its three terraces, one above the other, each featuring an open courtyard, covered rooms with pilasters, and sanctuaries hidden deep within the mountain. Hatshepsut is one of the most famous figures in the history of ancient Egypt. Ancient Egyptian history refers to her as the “Iron Ruler.” Afterward, you’ll take a cruise on the Nile River with a visit to Banana Island (optional at an additional cost—10$). End of the tour and return trip. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. 8:00 PM return to the hotel.
