8:00 AM: Departure from the hotel. We head to the oldest city in Malaysia (160 km from Kuala Lumpur) – the legendary colonial Malacca. On July 8, 2008, UNESCO declared the historic city center of Malacca a World Heritage Site. This is a city for romantics and history buffs. Malacca is the most famous state in Malaysia for its historical past. In the 15th century, it was the Malacca Sultanate that was the largest trading port in Southeast Asia, controlling territories from Southern Thailand to Northern Sumatra, and was the first Malay principality to officially embrace Islam. At various times, Malacca was under the rule of the Portuguese, Dutch, and British, who left behind unique cultural monuments from the colonial powers. Fortress walls, ancient churches, antique shops – hundreds of tourists flock to Malacca daily to see them. Around 3:00 PM: Return to the hotel.
